Frequently Answered Questions

How do I order?

It's easy. First, create an account and login. Then choose either prefabricated letters or custom graphics. Enter all the details of the letters you need including the text, letter height, number of copies, which font, base and laminate material specs, whether or not you want studs mounts and an install pattern, and how fast you need it. We'll give you an estimate on the spot. Add the item to your cart and checkout securely online.

How long does it take to get my letters?

Standard (not expedited) orders will be shipped within 3 business days. Orders received before 11:00 a.m. PST will be processed that day. All orders received after 11:00 a.m. PST will be processed the next business day. Expedite orders will be processed within 24 hours of receipt following 11:00 a.m. standards. Shipping costs will be charged at time of shipment and are typically about 10% of the order cost for ground.

What if I need something that's not on your form?

We have two ways to order 3D letters and graphics. The first is our prefabricated letters form, which features over 30 common fonts, and many letter heights. If you don't find what you need there, try our custom order form, or email us at [email protected] for assistance.

Is your site secure?

Yes. We use an SSL certificate that provides up to 256-bit encryption. An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a Web site and encrypts information sent to the server using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. All areas on our site that ask for your personal information (username/password, credit card number) are protected with SSL. To make sure a site is using SSL, look at the bottom or your browser for a lock icon. When the lock is closed, you are secure.

How do I know what size letters I need for viewing distance?

A basic rule is that 2" letters are readable from 10-15 feet away. Then add one inch to the letter height for every 20 feet of distance they need to be read from. If you have the room to use a larger letter it will be easier to read.

What if I need to move my dimensional logo sign?

Any logo that is stud mounted, such as cut metal, or cut acrylic, can be easily moved. You should save your installation pattern in a safe place if you plan to move your logo as it will be impossible to position accurately without it. Simply pull each piece out of the wall, clean the studs, and you are ready to re-install.

Can I install my architectural signage by myself? How?

You can purchase an installation pattern and we will send you instructions on how to install any of the products that you order.

What is an installation pattern? Why do I need one?

An installation pattern is a full size, pre-spaced, paper print of your signage, with all holes for studs marked. This pattern shows you exactly where to drill the necessary holes. If you do not have an installation pattern you would have to spend a lot of time measuring and calculating the placement of each letter or graphic.

What format do I need my logo in? What is Vector Art?

For all logo and plaque projects, we need your art file or logo in a vector format, with all fonts and objects converted to "curves" or "paths". The file types would be .ai or.eps. This gives us actual shapes which our equipment will follow when cutting your logo. Also, a vector file can be scaled to any size without losing quality.

Other file formats such as .jpg, .tif, .pdf. etc. are "raster" images. They are also known as bitmap images. They consist of only dots or pixels, and no outlines or paths. Therefore, our equipment can not read what shapes need to be cut.

If a graphic designer originally designed your logo, most likely it was created in a vector format originally. Images taken from websites and word documents are not vector files. There is no easy, push-button, or "save-as" way to make a bitmap image into a clean vector file. A graphic designer would have to spend time to convert your bitmap into a usable vector file. We can do this for you for a fee.

Can I use a custom font?

Yes, you can use a custom font for your sign letters or plaque project. You would need to email us the font in a .ttf (True Type format) It is located in the fonts folder on Windows based computers. A charge for setup would apply for each custom font used.

Can you match our PMS/Pantone colors?

Yes. This would be a custom order, and you would enter the pantone details in the special instructions box of the form. A paint match charge would apply for each PMS or Pantone match.
